| Ocean Freight Our Ocean Freight Departments offer specialist expertise across the complete range of our import and export services for groupage / LCL and full container loads as well as out-of-gauge project and heavy lift cargo. Our secure, scheduled services connect with all main overseas markets. Our regional partners there give us on-the-spot representation, supported by EDI and our interlinked IT systems. They also provide warehousing for exports and imports which complements our own so that we can track and trace shipments from origin through to final destination. Davies Turner’s services are particularly strong in the trades between the UK and the Far East, South Asia, Middle East and North America. Many shippers from overseas are already using our main hubs at London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow or Dublin as transhipment and distribution centres not just for UK and Ireland but also for the rest of continental Europe. These core activities are supported by our project forwarding departments that are well versed in the co-ordination and shipment of complete industrial plant & components including machinery and heavy lifts. We also supply case making and packing, local delivery, customs clearance and insurance. As well as Internet access for our track and trace/supply chain management systems, our website also features sailing schedules, loading details and transit times.
