Budweiser Budvar distributes over 20,000 kegs per year to up to 100 delivery points. They came to Davies Turner in search of a Logistics provider that could not only excel in providing a top class service in receipt, handling and despatch but could also provide a solution for keg management and returns. The challenge was to ensure a smooth and efficient returns process whilst at the same time maintaining full traceability of all kegs in circulation from the first point of receipt at Davies Turner through to the final return to the Brewery in the Czech Republic.
We ultilised our marketing leading Red Praire warehouse management system to process all receipts, handling and despatch. Plus, monitoring all returns into the Czech Republic. Dedicated personnel were assiged to the account with specialist knowledge in the key areas.
Our experienced team utilise our flexible and multi channel transport services to allow for the efficient and cost effective return of kegs, using a combination of our own dedicated fleet, TPN (The Pallet Network) and parcel carriers. In addition to this through the use of serial capture at each point in the logistics process each and every keg is now fully traceable
Since collaborating in January 2017, Davies Turner has transformed the keg management & returns process for Budweiser Budvar. Our reporting package allows full visibility of kegs in circulation & which delivery points require collection allowing for a much more effective, rapid returns process
