Liverpool port strike action confirmed

Unions have confirmed a two-week strike at the Port of Liverpool after recent negotiations with Peel Ports failed to reach an agreement.

The strike action will commence on Monday 19th September at 6.00am, through until 6am on Monday 3rd October.

This latest strike action follows hot on the heels of the Felixstowe port strike, where the dispute still rolls on.

As with previous port strike action, Davies Turner’s experienced ocean teams are working hard to put strategies in place to help manage the situation.  We are in discussions with the shipping lines to assess contingency plans in order to provide the best options for shippers in an effort to mitigate the impact of this strike.

We will keep you informed as we monitor developments.
