Recognising excellence in freight journalism

For the third year in succession Davies Turner has helped the Seahorse Freight Association to recognise best in class journalism in the transport and logistics media.

Once again, we sponsored the Overland Transport Journalist category in the Association's annual journalism awards, which was won by Charlotte Goldstone who is a reporter with the Loadstar publication. Runner up was Greg Knowler, a reporter with the Journal of Commerce.

Over 150 guests attended The Seahorse Journalist Awards, which is held annually in London.

Prizes were awarded in 11 categories including maritime, air, overland, technology, multipurpose, and supply chain journalist of the year, as well as rising star, news, feature, and journalist of the year.

Davies Turner director Alan Williams presented the award to Charlotte.

Alan says: "We believe that the media has an important role to play in informing those involved in the management of international trade and supply chains, and are pleased to support the awards by sponsoring a category that is very relevant to part of our overland trailer and rail freight operations."
