Branch Maintenance - The Role:
We have a vacancy within our Facilities Administration department for a Branch Maintenance person to support the Facilities & Administration Manager in carrying out a range of maintenance tasks on site and yard area. Including general upkeep of both buildings, adhoc repairs, yard clearance and weed control in yard. Offering support to the Facilities & Administration Manager with contractors on site and overseeing works.
Responsibilities will include:
- Undertake routine building maintenance tasks and DIY duties as required.
- Meet and oversee works carried out by FM service contractors.
- General clearance of car park and yard area, including litter picking, clearance of leaves and general weeding, cutting back low-level branches.
- Low-level painting and maintenance of internal areas to ensure office areas look presentable.
- Clearing blockages and other basic plumbing requirements.
- Cleaning of accessible CCTV cameras.
- Responsible for flushing through running water outlets and keeping a record as part of legionella management.
- Annual clearance of archive area and responsible for ensuring a tidy maintenance stores area.
- Deep cleaning of vinyl floor and carpetted areas when required.
- Support the Facilities Maintenance Manager where necessary.
- Support the Warehouse Managers with any adhoc tasks maintenance tasks in the warehouse.
This position is based at Edison’s Business Park, Crossways in Dartford, which has good road, bus and rail links. In addition, you will need the right to work in the UK - we cannot sponsor work permits.

For this Maintenance Person opportunity, if you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:
- Skilled maintenance experience preferred or strong DIY skills considered.
- Reliable with excellent time keeping.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach, eye for detail and problem solving skills.
- A good communicator and able to organise workload.
- Able to work in a team and independently.
- Physically fit.
- Abide by Safe Working Practices and Company Policies.
