CORONAVIRUS STATUS OCEAN IMPORT 22.5.2020

FAR EAST FCL SERVICES
Operationally all ports and landside operations are working as normal in the Far East. All carriers are implementing blank sailings to manage over capacity caused by weak demand in Europe. UK ports (including FLX / SOU / LGW / Liverpool) are reporting good service. Some rail operators have reduced the scope and frequency of inland trains but otherwise intermodal integrity remains largely unaffected. Congestion at inland container facilities is expected to increase in coming weeks to avoid port storage charges.

FAR EAST LCL (CONSOL) SERVICES
Consol containers are running weekly as usual from all main ports. Some blank sailings being encountered by carriers which we are replacing with alternative sailings where possible to do so.
