By utilising our popular Express China Rail service, rail shipments originating from Vietnam will experience expedited transit times and have the convenience of four departures per week. This seamless connection will provide efficient and reliable transportation solutions for businesses looking to ship goods between Vietnam and the UK.

Vietnam Routing and Service Information

LCL: Vietnam consolidation takes place at our partner, Air Sea Transports' own CFS in Hanoi, then transported to Xi'an bonded warehouse for shipment to the UK. For cargo from southern Vietnam, there is a weekly feeder service from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi.

FCL: Full containers are loaded at shippers premises and railed to Hanoi, then trucked to Xian Rail Terminal.

Frequency and Cut Off

LCL: There are two departures per week from Hanoi, on Mondays and Thursdays, with a cut off of 1 working day.

Monday Departures – CFS Cut off Fridays

Thursday Departures – CFS Cut off Wednesday

Transit Savings

The Vietnam Rail Service will reduce transit times by over 20 days for both LCL & FCL shipments compared to sea freight, which typically takes over 50 days. Utilising the rail service in Vietnam can expedite the transportation of goods and products, offering a more cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to air freight.

Service Route

Our Express China Rail import service follows a carefully planned route for efficiency and reliability:

• By Truck: Ho Chi Minh (for South Vietnam cargo) → Hanoi, Vietnam → Xi'an CFS, China.
• By Rail: Xi'an, China → Kazakhstan → Russia → Belarus → Poland → Duisburg, Germany.
• By Truck: Duisburg → Davies Turner Depots in Birmingham, Bristol, Dartford, Glasgow, and Manchester.
