Deja vu in container shipping With our comprehensive portfolio of international container shipping services, Davies Turner was interested by comments made in an article on the Loadstar website about spiralling container shipping rates, with one person suggesting that the shipping lines are using sledgehammer tactics. Davies Turner is getting a sense of deja vu having witnessed a similar situation during the Covid pandemic. Exporters to Asia are being hit with high surcharges, implemented with little or no notice following the invoking of force majeure, creating very difficult conditions for shippers.
