New UK & EU ban on Russian-origin iron & steel products

Date Added: 4 October 2023

Don't fall foul of new sanctions on Russian-origin iron and steel products

Davies Turner doesn't just deliver freight, we also deliver value added services and advice.

We are reminding companies trading with the UK and EU that on September 30th 2023, the UK and EU ban on Russian-origin iron & steel products came into force, prohibiting the import of iron and steel products from third countries which originate from Russia or are processed from Russian iron and steel.

To help businesses comply, the UK Government has issued guidance which clarifies the ban’s scope and the necessary documentation to demonstrate evidence of a good’s supply chain.

Importers are advised to include non-Russian origin assurances in their contracts.

Details of the UK Government guidance can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eRBG6rXX

As always, Davies Turner is happy to assist and discuss any concerns or questions you may have in relation to these new sanctions. Just give your local office a call.
