We are looking better than ever!
To celebrate 30 years of being in our purpose built freight hub in Dartford we have just completed a major renovation project of the whole facility. Overseen by Victoria Nicholson, Managing Director of Davies Turner Properties Ltd, the building exterior and all 3 office floors have been upgraded to provide contemporary, bright and airy workspaces for our hard working teams.
When we moved into our state-of-the-art hub back in 1992 on Crossways Business Park, Dartford, we were one of only a handful of companies in what was then a rather barren development site, with no public transport or shops nearby.
Fast forward to 2022 and the business park has grown into a 300 acre commercial development with landscaped parks and lakes. There are direct bus services, two railway stations, cycle paths as well as easy access by car. There is a handy Costa Coffee, as well as a pub, cafés, shops, hotels, a gym, supermarket and Bluewater shopping centre is only a five minute drive away.
Situated close to London and benefiting from direct access to the M25 and within close reach of mainland Europe, it is the perfect location for our south east freight forwarding and logistics facility.
Davies Turner’s site on Crossways has grown over the years too, with the addition of our own designed and built logistics hub, facilitating pick and pack operations as well as storage. Our branch at Dartford is home to over 210 employees, with a large array of work opportunities, from operations to warehousing, driving, sales, accountancy and IT, with potential to progress and diversify. We also run a yearly trainee programme, providing local young people with a chance to succeed, offering a placement that will give them substantial and meaningful workplace experience.
Davies Turner continues to invest in the future, upgrading its nationwide freehold property portfolio as well as building new facilities, the latest at Atherstone in the English Midlands which we aim to have open in Spring 2023.
