Davies Turner is a registered corporate trading member of the British Freight Association (BIFA), the trade association for UK-registered companies engaged in international movement of freight by air, road, rail and sea. Corporate members are known generally as freight forwarders. The use of the BIFA Standard Trading Conditions is a mandatory requirement for registered trading membership thus all business is transacted by Davies Turner in the UK subject to the BIFA Standard Trading Conditions (STC) - current edition, available here as a pdf.
The international carriage of goods may be subject to one or more international conventions enacted by the contracting States through national legislation. The BIFA STC are compatible with the compulsory legislation and do not diminish the rights available to, or the obligations of, any parties involved.
Ireland Standard Trading Conditions Davies Turner Ireland is a registered member of the Irish International Freight Association (IIFA), the sole representative body and official voice of freight forwarding by all modes of transport in Ireland. The Irish forwarding industry has used Standard Trading Conditions since the formation of the IIFA. These conditions have been modified and refined over the years to reflect changes in the role of the freight forwarder, court judgements and changes in legislation.
